The eagle...

...has landed!
Eagle Court of Honor: done.

These two have been shooting for eagle since babyhood! L got his a few months back, and drove down from Maine to be with his buddy for this occasion. Here is the project 'in action.'
There is a Veterans Memorial Park in town.
The project involved cutting down a VERY large spruce tree
and removing the debris so that the Vietnam Veterans memorial was more visible.
Also, cleaning up leaves, adding mulch around the memorials,
and re-locating the big sign to the edge of the road, so that the park was more easily visible from the main road. MANY hands made the work get done.Park: happy.
Veterans: happy.
R: happy.
Mom and dad: happy.
the end. (for now)

HUGE, HAPPY day. One down, two to go. May Kaleb follow in his older cousins footsteps. Thanks, Roger, for being such a great example!

Thanks, guys... it IS a happy thing to check the eagle off the list. And Jeannette--I finally figured out why my posting time comes on so early. It's posting at pacific time. So add three hours to what you're seeing, and you've got true time. And YES, Jane, that IS LW, son of BW and TW of Maine! It's SO fun to see these boys growing up! He's always stayed good pals with R.

I feel blessed to have been able to attend.
Sad only that I couldn't be at Tanners,
I did love seeing all three projects. I told Roger an Eagle is easy to obtain because it only takes 2 years, if you stay focused.
However, it is extremely difficult because many of the required badges are not ones which would interest most of the boys and so they are tedious. Then the project is a test of faith...faith that all the people, whom you have asked to participate will actually come though. Kudus to all, who diligently perservere.
love
mom

Oh--that's a BIG no on the snow. That's a picture from last spring. We've been waiting since then to have this thing. First waiting on the board of review, then the approval from council, then the approval from national... but NOW. IT'S. DONE.

That is great that they have stayed in touch. I reflected a lot about that picture. I told Dallas that these would of been his buddys had we stayed in Mass. :) TW does have a blog does she?
So glad you have not had snow yet, I was feeling pretty sorry for you!
