Just GOing with the Season

The view from our back window.
I think we've had something ridiculous like 20 inches of rain this MONTH.
I feel bad for all the people living with leaky basements and in flooded areas.
We continue to think about trees and Spring and baseball and playing outdoors...
..and puddles
while we participate in all INdoor activities fully protected.
It's never a bad idea to wear a helmet at our house.
(seriously: this thing does not come off for much)

What with the face mask is he playing baseball or hockey? We or should I say I can't wait for baseball the boys have tryouts this week...

Joy: baseball.
Most of the batting helmets have cages on them now, and I have to say that even while we practice catching a ball, it has hit the cage more than a few times. It's a good thing. That helmet has already protected him from a run-in with the coffee table and a trip down the stairs. How did we survive without it?!...

laughing at the helmet. I like the extra protection.
Here's the thing...he might have to take it off for tomorrow--because when Jane can't remember his name, she calls him "my friend with the blond hair"
She could start calling him "my friend that walks around his house with a helmet" :)

Funny! My boys are in full practice mode, I have five playing this year, all on different teams. Actually, four, Hunter doesn't start yet. I'm glad he's playing.

Hmm, that helmet and glove remind me of the movie Sandlot. I really can't wait for summer. Rain, rain, go away!

Adorable!!
I don't think we get that much rain in a whole year here!
I am sorry that spring is slow in making it's way to the NE. I have plenty of sunshine here if you'd like to float on over. It was 88 degrees here today.

I have a very leaky basement. Spent the entire day down there vacuuming and it was like I did nothing. I can see it streaming in and going where it shouldn't go. I can't even imagine what it will look like in the morning when I will have to go back and do the same thing. My back yard looks like a swamp. I couldn't tell you how many buckets of water I tossed out there. We don't have a sump pump but I had the plumber come today so we could decide where to put them--I'll need two because the water is coming in in two places. What a pain! It's hard to do it all alone. My back is breaking. I was there from around 9:00 till Uncle D came home at 5:45. Jeans soaked, boots soaked, back broken. I'm not a happy camper.
