soccer: done.

Tonight was the soccer banquet. It's now the end of these.
After watching R. grow and develop in this sport, it was a culminating and gratifying moment to witness. Tonight, he was awarded several things, and I couldn't have been more pleased for him. He was one of four on his team to make the Midland-Wachusett All-stars. He also earned an award called the Myles J. McCarron award, given each year in memory of an LHS soccer player who died in a tragic accident his junior year. The coach chooses the recipient, and the award reads (in part):

"Friend and Teammate
Star Athlete
A Memorial Tribute
Your gentle personality will shine and live forever in our hearts and memories"
It was an honor for him to receive.
I was touched.

Yay for R!! What an honor to get that award?

Now what are you going to do with all of your free time, not going to soccer games?

Congrats to Rog, I know he deserved this after being with him this summer. Running try outs and having no coach are just the starters - add that to the resume. Love, Aunt Amy Jo

Congrats R...I'm not surprised. You are a great kid. Thanks for being such a great example to my kids - especially Bubby.
