Wednesday: WAHOO! It's GIVE-AWAY day!!

I'm actually kind of excited about today.
It's fun to give.
I want to share some of my favorite things (with YOU!).
I will be putting together a package of things that I love,
and things representative of some of the things that I love
and I promise it won't be lame.
I will tell you this:
I've been gathering. (and it's fun!)
And there will be a couple of little strings attached.
*There will be the promise that if you win this give-away, you will write a letter to someone.
Not an email, but a letter.
I'll even throw in the postage.
Also, I'd like you to:
*Tell me who you would most like to receive a letter from.
Just leave me a comment.
You know, the good old-fashioned kind of letter that hardly shows up in the mailbox anymore. You can tell me why if you want, but you don't have to.
On Sunday, January 18th at 8:30 p.m. I will randomly pick a name (out of a hat, of course) and then send you along this bundle of fun!

Good Luck!

I would love a letter from my nephew who is a missionary in Argentina.

And, Aaron H., we should refer to him as "President Arbon"!

I love your letters. Your get-in-the mail ones for no reason that you write at soccer games. Birthday cards with nice presents, and funny sister cards are a really close second.

Dear Aaron, Mike is a great guy and yes letters from him might be intertaining however, I know he doesn't write; anyone. Maybe email and then its confinded to a couple of words.

I'd like to get a letter from Elder Maxwell. :-)

In fact, I think I'll go write her one this afternoon.

I would want a letter from my husband. He is not one to sit and write letters to anyone. So it would be cool to have one from him.

Can't wait to hear more about the give-away...got my fingers crossed.

Thanks for leaving such a nice comment on my blog. What a fun give-away idea! I would, of course, love to have a letter from my husband. He thought he wasn't a writer, until I made him start a blog, and guess what...HE IS! If that's all that comes of this deployment--it will be worth it!!!

I'd enjoy a letter from anyone. I think I'll write to my friend Marie in Florida. She is there for the winter and has a lot of medical issues and upcoming surgery for her back. Her husband is not the most supportive individual, and I'm sure she could use the support of a friend. So I'll write her tomorrow. I'm going to type it though because it is easier, but I will mail it, and not by email, either.

My dad writes me letters, and I love it! I have gotten to know my dad so much better over the last few years of him writing me letters than I did my whole lifetime of growing up, I think.

Also, I have a letter for a company that I need to mail off. Does that count? It's a nice letter telling the company how awesome they are.

To actually answer your question: I would love to receive a letter from a niece or nephew.

I've written my letter--3 pages--to my friend, Marie. It will go out in Saturday's mail. I probably wouldn't have done it without some urging, and I'm glad you came up with the idea. Talking about letters--I still have all the letters you sent when you were on your mission. I started reading some of them the other day. Very interesting. I thought I'd give them to you, and you can read them again and also your children might enjoy reading about your mission. Love, Aunt Shirley

I would like to receive a letter from Elder Worthlin. He was my favorite apostle before he died. I loved his talks and know that I have gained many things from his knowledge. Porter

I would like to get a letter from a lot of people. Off the top of my head, I would say President elect Barack Obama. I would like to hear what he says he's going to do for the country. However, because Presidents can't reply to all the letters, I would say I would like to receive a letter with a chance of receiving one from President Monson. He has good thoughts and great stories. It would be an honor to receive one from him.

I would like a letter from John Wooden. He's a great man. I'll have to work on that since he's still alive.

I would like a letter from Moses, on sheep skin parchment would be great, but stone tablets even better. Or, a letter from Abraham Lincoln telling me what his favorite after-dinner game was. Either one of those letters I could sell and pay off all my student loans. Jarrod

You say give away and look what happens...all of these people come out of the wood-work ;)

I would like a letter from you!

Sawyer would like a letter from Bro. Bach. Sawyer says hi to Mason. P.S. Renaissance Man is Tanner.
