Our excursion to Connecticut

To visit Uncle Pete
And Mr. Dub's grandparents

I read almost the entire "Long Way from Chicago" out loud, while we sat in Connecticut traffic and traveled for three hours...
We enjoyed seeing many people we haven't seen in years.
This is the church Mr. Dub attended as a child

...and now I feel bad for never reading "Uncle Tom's Cabin."

road trips are my FAVORITE...but seeing that traffic, YUCK! Glad you had a book to read. I do the same, read out loud to the fam as we drive, I'll have to try that book. Did your kids enjoy it?

Glad you made the trip to see Roger's cousin's aunt's sister-n-law's daugther's friend's wedding reception/birthday party. :)

So Jen, I love to read a family book in the car. I remember reading "The Velveteen Rabbit" to the children going to Worcester for an activity...of course, I was having a difficult time composing my self. Were you there?

Never too late to read "Uncle TOms Cabin". Alana read it last year.

Feeling a little brown sign love all the way up here. Great adventure. I was looking for Uncle Pete!

Jenny--

Rog attended the church where Lyman Beecher preached? That's amazing! (but don't feel bad for not reading Uncle Tom's Cabin; if you really want to know what the religion of Lyman was like you should read another of Harriet's novels: The Minister's Wooing. Good book, nice love story.

Love you!
