Resting the Sesame Seeds

At the last soccer game of the season, Rooney collided with another soccer player and ended up with a foot injury.  After visiting the orthopedic doctor, she has been diagnosed with bruised sesamoid bones.  "Sesamoiditis" is the official title.  We are having a hard time remembering how to say it, so we've just shortened it to sesame seeds.  They're the group of bones floating around in the tendons under the ball of your foot.  Who knew there were bones in the tendons with a name like Sesamoids?  Two weeks with a fancy boot, and four weeks no activities.

only two weeks?! phew!
Girls soccer sounds scarier than football.

Seems like that would be a jumping kind of injury, not from a collision. So sorry about missing the season - no fun! Cooper knows all about that over here. Get better fast!

So sorry, Rooney. Love the markers on your boot--If anyone needs a Sharpie, they know where to go for it. Very ingenious to say the least. Hope the foot feels better soon.
