tickling the ivories

Tonight was our Piano Recital.
We held it in the United Parish Church in the center of town.
It was a HOT night!
But the location was perfect, and the piano was beautiful.
Of my ten students, nine performed.
It was so rewarding to hear them play after a year of hard work!
I'm looking forward to a summer with no formal lessons,
but can't wait to get started again in the Fall!

For the record, all three girls played. I was running the show, so I didn't get to take pictures. I'm grateful for the ones that I do have.

I didn't know you had that many! Yeah! I love piano recitals (mostly when they're all over ;-)

I want to learn to play the piano. Wish I could be one of your students!

Me too. Sign me up with LL. I would love to play the pLano. All I can play is the radio, and I don't do a very good job at that.

You're a better woman than I. I don't like teaching lessons. Wish I did. There are plenty of people willing and ready. I admire that you were able to give your girls that experience. Mine have yet to do that.

Always wished I knew how to play the piano. I used to make my cousin play Moonlight Sonata and March of the Wooden Soldiers for me when we were in our early teens. She HATED to practice, and she doesn't play today--too bad--it is a nice way to relax.

Oh you are so talented! I bet she played beautifully- even if her teeth were questionable :) Love all of your fun summer time pictures!
