Aaron- gross! STM- Yucca~ D&J- no, yucca (root)! LL- saved by the 8th grade spaghetti dinner. ellen- don't knock it 'til you try it. shirlgirl- no, actually the smoothie was worse. MUCH worse.
yuca, or yucca is delicious in sancocho, or fried. very south american (close enough to Panama that we're calling it good)
What an interesting name for it! Someone must of looked at it and said, "YUCK, UH!" I'm sure it may actually be good, but looking at it, how can anyone attempt to try it?! It looks like one of the foods Andrew Zimmern from Bizarre Foods on the Travel Channel would have on his show. Well, here's to trying new things!
Actually, the circus was just in town and this was a souvenir we picked up next to the rhino cage.Interesting, this little entry, gets the most comments of the month award. Hmmm Mr Dub

don't eat it. don't do it.
Is that food storage gone wrong? I don't even want to know.
That's worse than the "sausage" banana smoothie!! That is so gross and I wouldn't even want to say what it looked like. Oh my goodness!!
I would have gone with walrus droppings.

I've never seen yucca root. Hope it was good! Sure doesn't look very appetizing.
