I choose sweet tooth, because you are the queen of sweets, and yellow is your favorite color. Recipe: Any piece of pork (roast, loin) in the crock pot in the morning, ready when you come home from church. Put it in with the fat up, salt it, drizzle molasses over it (less than 1/2 c.), sprinkle brown sugar. When it's done, take it out, shred it into pieces, throw those back into the bastings. Serve the meat with warm tortillas (steamed), and sauteed peppers and onions. Also cheese, sour cream and salsa

How can it even be narrowed down to one. I couldn't even decide on one! Hmm, maybe the vivid groovy... Who knows, they're all cute!

As far as the summer recipe- this isn't my own. I LOVE smartmama's summer pasta salad with the 3 colored peppers, bow tie pasta, grilled chicken, romaine lettuce, creamy ceasar dressing, and fresh grated parm. It's super duper easy and yummy. Perfect for summer.

How about the yellow daisies? They are all great aprons. I LOVE aprons. I usually make them for the church fair but didn't do that this year. As for the menu, this is one of my girlfriend's recipes which is quite yummy. This is a salad--Capri Beef Salad
2 lbs round steak cut in strips
1 8 oz bottle Italian dressing
2 cups sliced carrots, cooked
2 cups green beans
1 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 cup pimiento strips
1 cup red onion rings
1 head lettuce

Brown meat in small amount of Italian dressing. In a salad bowl, combine meat with carrots, bens, peppers, pimiento strips, onion rings and remaining dressing. Chill. Add lettuce cut in 2 inch chunchs and toss lightly. This makes 6 servings, so you would probably have to double it for your family. I'd cook the beans al dente so they are cooked but a bit on the crunchy side. I also have a recipe for Crunchy Corn Medley which I will email to you which is very good and can be a side dish.

I forgot to leave a recipe for you while I was here:
My kiddos love fruit pizza in the summer- there are a lot of easy recipes online: Here's one:
http://www.virtualcities.com/ons/fl/d/fld39011.htm
I don't always make the glaze, and more often than not I just use refridgerator sugar cookie dough instead of making my own-- I know, lazy :) That's what summer's for right?

I've been to this website before; thanks for the reminder. I think I will send one of these to my sister next year for her birthday. I love the Cocoa Funky Flowers Full Apron. I will probably send my sister Brown Daisy Dreams, but I have no idea what you would love. The hostess aprons are adorable, but I'm too messy of a cook to pull it off.

As for summer meals, we love salad. I taught an RS Enrichment class this week on Summer Salads. Here is the one I did with the sisters (sorry there are no amounts; I don't actually measure when I cook. Besides, in salad, everything is 'to taste.')

Crunchy Asian Salad

• Leafy lettuce, any variety
• Shredded Cabbage
• Chunked up cooked chicken
• Red pepper
• Green onion
• Shredded carrots
• Cilantro
• Mandarin oranges (canned)
• Pea pods
• Chow mein noodles, friend wontons, sesame seeds, almonds (or any combination of these)
• Asian dressing (Kraft makes a really delicious one)

Mix and eat. Yumm-O!

PS JoJo is totally right about that pork, but we skip the molasses and put in half a jar of green salsa instead to spice it up a bit.

I thought of another meal you might like. Chicken salad with celery and dried cranberries. I also put a little bit of curry powder in the salad. Along with that, a nice potato salad--I make the German potato salad with vinegar and oil--being lazy, Good Seasons Italian dressing that you make yourself is terrific in the potato salad. As a side, deviled eggs go well with it. Uncle D enjoys that meal.

UPDATE: No winner yet!!
PLEASE... keep guessing! And I can't wait to try your recipes. I should clarify. The apron I bought was not the one I liked best. You're right. They're all SO cute. It's much too hard to pick just one. But now that you know it's none of the ones mentioned above, please; do try again! Be sure to include another recipe! I want to share my very chic new apron with YOU!
XO

hmm fav summer recipes- I do love carrots, zuchini, yellow squash sauteed in butter and lots of garlic and spinkled with italian seasoning served over buttered linguini with fresh parm- or penne arrabiata (recipe on my main blog).

Nope and Nope. If nobody guesses by Thursday, I'll throw your names in the hat and pull one out. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them!

Well I always love a wonderful "fake" sangria for a summer bbq... I like to use white cranberry w/ peach or strawberry flavor, then I add complimenting fruits. If I use strawberry I add raspberries and mangoes. if you use peach, i add apricots and nectarines. I like to let the bite size fruits "marinate" in ginger ale a few hours before adding equal parts of cranberry juice. the fruit has a bit of a bite and is the perfect non alcoholic beverage for a summer bbq!

Lacework in brown is adorable! They are all really super cute.

Our fave meal in the summer is philly cheese steak sandwiches. I cook a roast in the crockpot as to not heat up the kitchen, and pull it apart when it is super tender. Add sauted mushrooms, and onions and munster cheese. Toast the bread, add a little mayo and it is so delish! Have with fresh fruit and salad.

I've finally had a chance to visit the website. I'm going to guess Daisy Ditty. Our favorite summer recipe is a dessert (of course!) -

Chocolate Eclair Cake

Layer graham crackers in the bottom of a 9x13 pan, breaking as necessary to fit. Mix 2 packages of instant vanilla pudding with 3 cups of milk, then fold in 12 oz of thawed cool whip. Spread over graham crackers. Cover with another layer of graham crackers. Heat 8 oz of Hershey's HOT FUDGE topping in the microwave for 30 - 45 seconds and spread topping over graham crackers. Refrigerate. Can be made a day ahead.
