Love to Hate them

Chores.
Tonight I was asking the kids to please help clean up the kitchen after dinner.
A: Could you please vacuum the floor?
E: Please empty the dishwasher.
S: Would you please clear off the table?
and so on...
I was busy directing traffic, and the youngest of us all asked "Mom, what's MY chore?"
Truth be told, our chore chart needs updating. It's been the same since he was born.
I hurried to make one up, since I knew that it was important to make him feel needed. AND, that he ought to be having a regular chore at dinner time, as well.
I said "Your job is to empty the silverware out of the dishwasher."
His reply: "But mo-om; that's my hate-y-est chore."
Not to digress from the season of love; we've been enjoying homemade cinnamon toast, more fruit-y-licious smoothies and chocolates for tidy beds... we have a food thing going on to be sure.
But what's YOUR hate-y-est chore?

Cleaning bathrooms. I could use some of those great helpers at my house!

So dang cute! I love it! Did you still make him do it! That would have pushed me to forget the chore and move on to something funner-er.

I hate getting kids to do chores, that is the worst chore!

Don't kids just say the darn-y-est cute things? My hate-y-est chore is laundry.

I don't think there is enough room for me to comment! It would have to be folding laundry...I woulds say ironing, but I just don't do that!

Processing the all the paper that comes into the home. Homework, announcements, bills, letters, handouts, ugh!

Oh, too many choices. I'll pick dusting and ironing. Don't do them when I don't like to. I need an email about the family reunion?

Probably cleaning but when I am in the mood, there is no stopping me. As long as my kitchen and bathroom are clean, he dust bunnies can scoot across the floor in the other rooms. When everything is done, I feel I have accomplished a lot. When spring arrives, the house gets attacked! This means all walls, windows, floors get washed and/or vacuumed really well. Curtains get washed, pantry shelves get washed down and rearranged. Actually did that to some of them a couple of weeks ago. Have 10 shelves in my pantry--lots of stuff to move around. It is a day's job. Mr. M was so cute with his response. Loved it!

I agree that sorting mail is so difficult for me...so that would probably qualify.

When the 8 grand daughters were over...we had the bed lottery.
Well Emma Hutchins and Abbey Whitcomb got the mattress on the floor/ floor only.
Emma did not want abbey on the mattress with her. Abbey so thoughtfully said, "Emma, I don't mind sleeping on the floor."
Emma responded, "Oh, Abbey, you have such a great attitude."
