the inaugural skate

it was COLD yesterday!
and the day before that... 
HELLO 8 degrees Fahrenheit; 
you make puffy winter coats seem threadbare.
the good news:
the ice was frozen
and the rink was READY for skating.
HOORAY for winter!

Fun! And, I love the bench next to the rink--an awesome setting. Watched an ice show the other night honoring Peggy Fleming. It was awesome! I LOVE ice skating, even though I'm not so great. Used to skate a lot in my younger days but could never skate backwards. Never mastered that. Have fun everyone.

oh my... this ALMOST makes me wish I lived in a colder climate... ummm... BUT NOT QUITE! Although that looks like amazing fun!
