Tradition!

This past weekend,  we made our annual mandatory Fall pilgrimage to the apple orchard.
When I stumbled across the following picture, I was grateful for family traditions.
Change is in the air.  This will be his last trip to the orchard with us for a few years.

Long Live Traditions!

What gorgeous apples! My girlfriend and I went to Carlson's on Thursday. The apples weren't as large this year as they were last year because of not having enough rain to fill them out. Then we went to Tiny's in Ayer for lunch (lobster salad roll and onion rings), then to the Salt Box which, unfortunately is now closed--looked like that was going to happen last year. Next stop--The Colonial for candy and hot fudge sundaes!! This is an annual trip we take. Tradition here as well. I remember going apple-picking with Dub and children when you were in the hospital with Mr. Morning. Then we went to Parker's for lunch and we also saw a young moose. That was a fun day. I also went down a slide with Miss S. Dub had taken us to a playground area so they could all unwind. We had a fun-packed day. I've made four apple crisps with mine and have some left--probably will make some applesauce and a pie. Just got the small bag this year. Glad you all had fun.

Traditions create such loving memories. I know R will hold on to those for the two years he's away. Love the old picture.

McKell was lamenting the lack of those delicious apples a few days ago! What sweet times and great memories!
