I've been diverging from the standard menu this week.
There is change in the air.
Transition brings a swath of emotions and turbulence at all levels.
Thank goodness for a good meal at the end of the day.
A quorum of children have not felt the warmth in my dinner choices.
Who am I trying to comfort with this food?

The top one looks like one of those Halloween joke meals. Sorry.
(laughing)
I think that's how my kids felt when I put it on the table...
Candied apples for dessert, yummy stuffed peppers, and shrimp with angel hair pasta and veggies--nothing wrong with those items. Hope someone enjoyed them--I know I would have.
I'm not sure who you're TRYING to comfort, but I would be happy to receive said comfort. Especially after my 90 minute workout ended.
"Who am I trying to comfort with this food?"
EXACTLY. That's the sentiment I try and express to Rachael in a variety of situations, like when she says, "I'm cold!" and the rest of us are not, but we then must be, because she is.
Hey comfort my cook book with the stuffed pepper recipe if it turned out well.
SICK!
those pepper things look bad.
The shrimp, more my style :)
I say good for you for trying new things. :)
I have yet to make either. I'm looking forward to cooking for two, in a way, so no complaints for the cook will be heard.
Oh I was drooling...until....the shrimp picture. Ick..THROW IT BACK IN THE WATER!
Looks great! I just discovered a new stuff pepper recipe took, but I need to try it.
