We thought this was pretty brave--a young couple taking on a family of eight, but WOW! did they impress. Bryant served a mission in Rome, Italy a few years back, and learned to make an incredible marinara sauce. Gretchen worked along side him shaping loaves of amazing Italian bread, and they rounded off the meal with an enormous salad of yummy greens with cut up kiwi and papaya.
Not only did their culinary skills leave us speechless, but they brought along Harry Potter Clue, which kept us entertained while the sauce was cooking, AND they cleaned as they went, leaving barely a trace that they had been in the kitchen.
And they even brought dessert.
Leeli thought we should entertain like this--bringing a delicious homemade meal IN to the next people we want to share the day with. It was pretty great. After a couple of rousing games of "Three Men on a Couch" and some excellent conversation, the missionaries dropped by and we finished the night off with a talented Elder's version of "Come Come Ye Saints."
The has been the MOST restful Sabbath we've had in a LONG time.

You could invite yourself over here to make us dinner, but there is no way your family would fit in our apartment. Bart and I can barely stand in the kitchen at the same time!

How nice to have someone cook dinner for you and to have such wonderful entertainment afterwards. I love singing hymns. Glad you had such a wonderful day.
