Some Days Must be Dark and Dreary

Be still sad heart and cease repining;
Behind the clouds the sun is shining,
Thy fate is the common fate of all,
Into each life a little rain must fall...
-Longfellow
It becomes the "New England way" to complain about the weather.
I try not to comply.
This week it's been tempting to have Noah on speed dial.
I LOVE my rain-soaked, drooping flowers!
I love when baseball games and soccer practices are cancelled!
The rain slows us down.
And this is GOOD.

It's time for sunshine and warmth! I'm tired of being cold and need some steady sunshine in my day. Your lilacs are lovely as are your tulips, droopy or not. I'm sure you enjoy not running around to the different baseball/soccer fields every day so you can have a breather. Life is too much of a rush and no one stops to smell the flowers. I wonder how many really enjoy their day--hooked up to cell phones in their ears, having to read newspapers while driving 70 plus miles an hour on the highway, etc instead of just sitting back and taking a breath and a break. Enjoy your day.

we have been complaining a lot this week, but this is not the norm for us! We should be getting use to everything not being the "norm" by now.
Thanks for the positive note!

Beautiful photo of the lilacs! Those are my favorites! Hope the rain lasts a little longer so you can keep enjoying it.
