I drove to the High School this morning to take care of some business in the office. I just about cried when I saw the front lawn.

All those beautiful mature trees!
Cut down.
As much as I like progress, (demolition for a new school) this made me SAD.
However, finding this sunflower made me HAPPY.
See how it leaned right over and said
"Don't worry.Everything will be alright."

I agree about the trees. It takes so long for them to grow, they take up the carbon monoxide in the air and clean it for us, and now because they have all been dropped, that adds to our global warming. Will people ever wake up to that fact? Can't they build around the trees for heaven's sake? This happens when houses are being built--so very sad.
