I spent 8 hours of my Saturday in a quilting class with my mom.
Cha-CHING!
I felt like I won the lottery. We had a grand time!
I learned lots of useful stuff about quilting.
I also learned that my mom grew up:
-eating white bread sandwiches
-not using sunscreen
-not drinking much water
and
-eating (& liking) peanut butter and miracle whip sandwiches.

I like peanut butter. I like Miracle Whip. I do not imagine I'd like them together.
That sandwich sounds gross, but my mom eats it too. Small world.
My Dad liked Peanut Butter and Mustard sandwiches, I don't think he ever tried peanut butter and Miracle Whip.
Both sound gross to me.
What a fun day for you both! I used to put butter on white bread and sprinkle it with sugar for a snack when I came home from school. Later, my mother used to buy Nissen's Oatmeal bread and we've never had white bread in the house since. We never had sunscreen--used baby oil with iodine to "get a good tan". Talk about cooking your skin!! I also don't recall drinking much water like we do today. Our habits have certainly changed to much healthier ones today.
My dad liked to eat sardines with mustard on saltine crackers.
But forget the food -- a day of quilting with Priscilla sounds priceless.
And -- loved your poetry. It really is too bad that baggage can't be lost.
not WHITE BREAD?!?!!!!!!!
say it isn't so.
Fun! Was this with your friend or someone different! I'm so glad you get to do this.
What a great day!!!
As for the samiches...ick
I live by the phrase, we are never to old to learn new skills! So glad for your new talents.
I'l bet every nutritionist has parents who ate the same way.
Someday I'll learn to quilt...lucky.
quilting is nice, but the day with your mom... that's the prize!
