The only thing being taxed here is the mother's sense of well-being as she sends her firstborn son off to a foreign country to help build a school for 10 days... (actually, I wish it could be ME!)
Thanks, Smartmama, for donating a generous box of school supplies. We had fun packing it in between all of his clothing and personal items last night.

Enjoy your experience big R! Happy Trails. And Email your mother (details!) every night.

I'm thinking you are braver than your son for letting him go. This sounds like the experience of a LIFETIME though and I know how excited he is to be going. Good Luck R and be safe. :)
Very exciting for R and good practice for the future missionary mother! Enjoy the trip (and please bring back some of those warmer temperatures to share with us here in New England).
Hey Jen -
Want to go see a movie? How about the new one: TAKEN?
Good times.
That's exciting! Can't wait to hear about R's adventures.
I miss Roger already!!!
Hope he has a wonderful time. What a fantastic experience for him. Even though there will be scattered showers, he'll be in nice warm weather with lush greenery all around him and where he will be WARM!!
Wow, what a neat opportunity for him! Good for you for letting him go.
He will do great! I hope he sends you that email every night, and takes lots of pictures.
Why is it so hard to let our children grow up?
