I ran into a sister from my mission at the temple Saturday. It might not sound that dramatic, but considering that she is from a country thousands of miles from here, and neither of us really call Portland "home," it was pretty remarkable. I was with her on the last day of my mission and a thousand memories flooded back from that time. I cried as I hugged her, thinking about those other reunions, in the next life, all dressed in white. She hugged me as only a Tongan can and I was quite literally enveloped in her love. Sharing the gospel with people gives you a unique relationship that you can have in no other way. Eternal friendship indeed.
very exciting!
