There's no place like home.

In a 1991 article, Gordon B. Hinckley talks specifically to mothers.
He says "You are the keepers of the hearth. You are the managers of the home."
I say, I wish everyone had a hearth in which to light a fire on a cold night.
And, I'm so glad to be home.

I think Mr. M. couldn't agree more.

It's good to be in November!

  2. Mr. M is so precious, and looks like he is glad to be home by the fireside as well. He is proably mesmerized with the flames. I would be too. Glad you had such a nice weekend--you did a great job today. Nana would have been proud. I think we honored her in a special way today. Love, Aunt Shirley

  3. Sorry for misspelling "probably"--I'm squinting here without my glasses. I'm ready for dreamland.

  6. Great fireplace! I love that it is real, ours is fake..nice and easy, but just not the same.
Still its the spirit of gathering with the family around it that I love.
Nice for you to return to!
