Monday:played in FIRST field hockey game ever!

did really well.
15 minutes into the game
was taken out by the opposing team.
Broken thumb.
Broken pinkie finger.
She's right-handed.
Now she has a 'book buddy' to carry her books at school.
Also an extra set of text books at home so she doesn't have to lug them.
Sympathy from her teachers and friends and a scribe to take notes for her.
She's got a pretty good thing going on.

So sorry to hear about Sarah's injury. I can empathize with her. It's tough to be right-handed and have the same hand or wrist injured. Been there--done that (twice--first the right and 5 months later, the left)Not fun. Bet she'll have all kinds of autographs on her cast. Love to Sarah. Aunt Shirley
